Christian Fellowship of Ministries or CFM is a fellowship of Churches/Ministers and Ministries in which men and women of integrity and like vision, join together as partners in the Gospel and in relationship to one another under the headship of the Lord Jesus Christ, in order to advance the kingdom of God on this earth as described in the Bible. CFM is not a denomination but a fellowship that functions on relationships. It therefore does not have a hierarchical command and control structure, but is based on the individuals desire to relate to others of like faith irrespective of denominational background.

Our purpose can be described as follows…

To work together in a relationship of love as we earnestly contend for the faith once delivered to the saints.

We provide…

Ministerial status.

A service for the designation and appointment of Pastors as Marriage Officers.

The ordination of Ministers of the Gospel and ministerial accreditation in the form of a certificate.

Mature leadership and “Father-figures” to advise Pastors on personal, ministry-related and other matters.

The solving of disputes between the Pastor and his/her Church Board should both parties request this mediation.

Ministerial input for Pastors in order to enhance their effectiveness in ministry.

 
Text Box: Pastor Gerrit van der Walt is the Administrative Head of CFM and senior Pastor of the Johannesburg South fellowship, called by God to serve this community. The fellowship began at his home in July 2000 with 5 members. Soon his lounge became too small and in August the group moved into a school hall and later rented a church building in Lynmeyer. This was to remain their home until January 2005 at which time they purchased their own building in Turffontein. These premises were to serve as a base for community projects, notably a feeding scheme for under privileged children of the area and a senior Text Box: Membership CFM offers full membership for Churches/Ministers and Ministries who desire to commit themselves fully to the fellowship and Associate Membership to ministers who hold primary membership with a Denomination or some other Christian Fellowship.
